Surabaya, July 28, 2023 – Cross-border education collaboration has further strengthened the success of the education sector in utilizing technology to enhance learning. At the 8th Collegial Meeting of the Association of Indonesian Educational Technology Studies Programs in Indonesian Educational Technology (APS-TPI) which took place at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. Three well-known educational institutions, namely the Educational Technology Study Program, Faculty of Education Sciences (FIP), Surabaya State University (UNESA), Malaysian Educational Technology Association (META), and Sultan Idris Education University, a cooperation agreement aimed at developing international level educational technology innovations. The signing of this collaboration was witnessed by Indonesian and Malaysian educational technology academics in the series of events at the 8th APS-TPI Collegial Meeting. The agreement includes a number of important commitments, including knowledge, joint research, curriculum development, and organizing seminars and workshops in the field of educational technology.Dr. Utari Dewi, S.Sn., M.Pd, Coordinator of the UNESA FIP Educational Technology Study Program, conveyed the importance of cross-country collaboration in the development of education. "This collaboration is not only about strengthening inter-agency relations, but also about forming a young generation that is ready to face the challenges of the 21st century by using technology intelligently and effectively," said Dr. Utari Dewi, S.Sn., M.Pd.Also present, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Hisyam Bin Mohd Hashim, Chair of META, enthusiastically welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with well-known universities in Indonesia. "We believe this collaboration will have a positive impact on the development of educational technology in both countries. Innovation in learning will be accelerated," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Hisyam Bin Mohd Hasyim.In line with that, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahizer Bin Hamzah, Head of the Educational Technology Program, Faculty of Human Development, Sultan Idris University of Education, stated his commitment to sharing experiences and knowledge with partner institutions. "We hope that through this collaboration, we can support each other and advance the world of education, especially the application of educational technology in the digital era," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahizer Bin Hamzah.Coordinator of the UNESA FIP Educational Technology Study Program, Dr. Utari Dewi, S.Sn., M.Pd, added, "This collaboration will open up new opportunities to develop joint research in the application of innovative educational technology. We are committed to sharing knowledge and experience for the advancement of education locally and globally."The signing of this cooperation agreement marks the first step in a hopeful collaborative journey. Through the 8th APS-TPI Collegial Meeting, education stakeholders have made a real commitment in presenting education that is more adaptive and relevant with the help of technology.
