They went through stages by stage, starting with the selection of choisters, practicing together four times a week, preparing costumes and doing the recording process.
In this competition, Gita Pramawisesa presented two folklore songs, entitled ‘Wor Kankarem-Morinkin‘, which is the folk song of Biak Papua, arranged by Budi Susanto Yohanes. The second song is ‘Seblang Subuh‘, the Banyuwangi folk song, also arranged by Budi Susanto Yohanes.
Septian Indrawan Putra, Head of KKM Gita Pramawisesa said that the folklore song was chosen because it has a uniqueness that is different from each region so that it is challenging for the chorister to present the best. "Besides that, because of the readiness of the material. This is at the same time to facilitate adjustments for choisters who are used to bringing folklore songs,” he explained.
He explained that choir is a singing activity carried out by a group of people with the same perception and purpose. In particular, in preparing for this competition, there were obstacles that occurred. The number of people with various different activities so that there is often an incomplete chorister during practice.
"To overcome this, we took the initiative to record a video of our practice and send it to friends who were unable to attend that day," said Septian. He hopes that this achievement can fuel the spirit to continue to improve competence and creativity to present the best work at the international level. [HUMAS UNESA]
