Surabaya, Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology at Yogyakarta State University in celebration of the 58th Anniversary of Yogyakarta State University presented a workshop related to opportunities and challenges for Education Technology graduates. The event is open to lecturers, students, and TP graduates in general. With resource persons who fill the material for the event, namely the first speaker with Dr. Andi Kristanto M.Pd., MCE as Head of the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology, State University of Surabaya, and the second resource person with Drs. Harry Susan Pujiraharjo, MA., MAP as Head of Planning, Procurement and SIMPEG BKD DIY. At this event, Mr. Dr. Deni Herdianto M.Pd acted as moderator who guided the discussion and question and answer session at this workshop. The workshop was held online through a zoom meeting organized by the Faculty of Education, Yogyakarta State University on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, which took place from 08.00. The event was opened with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Education, University of Yogyakarta, Dr. Sujarwo. M.Pd. This event discussed the opportunities and challenges of graduates from Educational Technology with the first speaker being Dr. Andi Kristanto M.Pd., MCE and the second speaker was Drs. Harry Susan Pujiraharjo, MA., MAP as the Head of Planning, Procurement and SIMPEG BKD DIY who also discussed the formation of TP graduates in the government. Mr. Harry Susan stated that, “Educational Technology graduates are very appropriate to be associated with government departments. Even today, in all corners of the school there are still many shortages of manpower”, he said. Not only attended by lecturers and students of Educational Technology, this event was also attended by alumni of Educational Technology from various parts of Indonesia. Mr. Dhanang, as an alumnus of Educational Technology, Yogyakarta State University, said that "Educational Technology graduates are graduates with a complete package, in the sense that they can enter any field", he said. also shared a little of his story who is now struggling in the field of training analysis at the Regional Provincial Education and Training Agency. At the end of the event there was a discussion between the speakers and the participants and the discussion took place very actively, smoothly, positively, and building relationships between alumni and lecturers of the State University of Yogayakarta and the State University of Surabaya. At the event, Mr. Andi had mentioned that, "There is at least one education technology graduate in every school", he said. Through this seminar, educational technology should have many and great opportunities both from the government sector, as well as schools, and other fields. Hopefully with this good news and news, it can raise our spirits in advancing and introducing educational technology to various fields.
